Psychotherapy
I provide face-to-face and online psychotherapy sessions through internet-based video platform (ZOOM).
In your sessions I will carefully attend to your current life and what brings you to therapy. I will ask you to describe your emotional problem or the difficulties you are currently experiencing. Together we will explore the contributing factors to these difficulties and your emotional response. I will ask you to share your feelings with me and this can sometimes be challenging and painful. We will work at your pace and I will share my observations with you, which, at times, you may not agree with. I will encourage you to be an active participant in your therapy sessions and together we will work to get to the bottom of your problems.
Clinical Supervision
I offer clinical supervision and consultation services that are ISTDP informed.
Although, the theoretical framework is psychodynamic and draws mostly from the metapsychology of Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), you do not need any prior training in ISTDP to work with me. I am open to different theoretical models, and we can explore whether or not ISTDP principles might be helpful for your work.
I strive to keep up to date with the research in order to provide evidence-based practice and I enjoy the learning process in honing my own skills and witnessing my supervisees becoming more confident and skilled in their work. Therefore, I invest time and effort in maintaining and improving my competencies and skills through continuous learning across different theoretical paradigms and ongoing supervision.
I use a collaborative approach to both my clinical work and supervision in order to co-create a space of trust that can facilitate honesty and foster self-awareness and self-reflection. For this reason, I encourage open and honest feedback in order to evaluate the supervisory relationship and formulate goals.
